Descendants: The rise of red (2024)
Rita Ora is the evil Queen of Hearts, Brandy Norwood reprises her 1997 Cinderella, and China Anne McClain returns as Ursula’s outspoken daughter Uma, now the principal of Auradon Prep school. The Rise of Red focuses on the unlikely friendship between Chloe, Cinderella’s daughter played by Malia Baker, and Red, the Queen of Hearts’ daughter played by Kylie Cantrall.
Chloe is exactly what you’d expect as the daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming. She’s poised, gracious, kind, and eager to start school at Auradon Prep—glass sneakers on her feet and all. She’s a perfectionist who wants to follow in her mother’s regal footsteps. Red is the anti-princess living in Wonderland under her mother’s cold and vindictive reign. When Red receives an unexpected invitation to attend Auradon Prep, and an even more unexpected blessing from her mother to accept, she’s excited to finally have a way out of Wonderland.
But little does Red know, the Queen of Hearts uses the opportunity to hatch a secret revenge plot against Auradon and her former best friend Cinderella. Of course, things don’t quite go to plan, and Red and Chloe end up getting whisked back in time to when Ella and Bridget were schoolmates. Together, Red and Chloe must find out what went wrong between their mothers and help to set it right.
